The Friedrich D50BPA 50-Pint Dehumidifier has three methods for draining collected moisture. The first option allows you to manually drain the water condensate bucket. The removable drain bucket holds 16.2 pints of water and easily pulls out from the front of the dehumidifier for simple drainage. To avoid having to constantly empty the drain bucket manually, you can take advantage of the continuous drain method or use the built-in condensate pump. A drain hose is included with the dehumidifier for continuous drain operation. The drain hose connects to the back of the dehumidifier and must be placed horizontally so collected moisture can be gravity drained. Additionally, you can pump excess water to another location up to 15 feet away from the dehumidifier using the internal condensate pump.
